NYU Weekly: Art Exhibits, Climate Week NYC, International Student Forum, Film Festival & Grad Fair Highlights

The Latinx Project at NYU is currently hosting "Escenas," an exhibition featuring the work of seven emerging lens-based artists. The exhibition runs until December 4 at 20 Cooper Square. On Thursday, September 25, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, the Asian/Pacific/American Institute at NYU is presenting a panel titled "International Students in Limbo." The discussion will address the challenges faced by international students amid current federal policies. The event will be held on the third floor of 20 Cooper Square and is co-sponsored by the NYU Migration Network and the NYU Center for Black Visual Culture. Climate Week NYC 2025 is underway, featuring over 1,000 events and unprecedented corporate participation. Despite shifts in federal climate policies, this year's Climate Week emphasizes grassroots and market-driven initiatives to combat climate change. Key discussions include advancements in energy technologies and corporate strategies for resource conservation. The 63rd New York Film Festival kicks off on September 26 and runs through October 13. Presented by Film at Lincoln Center, the festival opens with Luca Guadagnino's thriller "After the Hunt" and closes with Bradley Cooper's comedy "Is This Thing On?" The festival showcases a diverse lineup of films from both established and emerging directors. For those interested in graduate studies, the Unimy Grad Fair is taking place on Saturday, September 27, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Dream Downtown. This event offers an opportunity to meet representatives and alumni from top master's programs in STEM and other fields. Attendees can learn about campus life, internships, scholarships, and the application process. The Museum of Modern Art is currently featuring "Pirouette: Turning Points in Design," an exhibition that highlights pivotal moments in design history.
