Ó Fearraigh criticises Glenveagh Castle closures, Calls for Full Reopening

Sinn Féin Councillor John Sheamais Ó Fearraigh is calling for the full reopening of Glenveagh Castle tours seven days a week, after confirmation there are no current plans to do so. The Castle remains closed every Monday and Friday, with the Government blaming staffing shortages, a situation Ó Fearraigh says is unacceptable for a major tourist site. He warns the closures are affecting Donegal's reputation and disrupting local tourism trade. Speaking to Ocean FM News, Cllr Ó Fearraigh said: “It sends a bad message out there regarding the tourism industry that we're closed due to the lack of staff.
