Mnogi to ne znaju, ali porođaj na ginekološkom stolu u prisutnosti liječnika na našim se prostorima ustalio tek poslije Drugog svjetskog rata kao dio primarne zdravstvene zaštite. Prije toga žene su porađale babice i to kod kuće. Odlazak u bolnicu bio je privilegij imućnih, a mnoge će naše bake potvrditi da su i one rađale kod kuće još sredinom prošlog stoljeća jer drukčiju mogućnost jednostavno nisu imale. Posljednjih nekoliko godina sve se više žena odlučuje roditi kod kuće, a takav tip porođaja potpuno je legalan u svim zemljama Europske unije te je čest odabir i žena u Skandinaviji. O porođaju kod kuće razgovarala sam s food stilisticom, osnivačicom Malog placa na tavanu i kćerkom pokojne političarke Dorice Nikolić Jelenom Ivom Nikolić. Jelena mi je pričala o svoja dva orgazmička porođaja, o svojim trudnoćama, ali i o tome kako zapravo nema dobne granice za porođaj.
