from NC F&B Podcast · host NC F&B Podcast

Anthony Scalabrino, founder of @oakcityamarettoco, joins us to give you a little break from coronavirus-related content and to appreciate how awesome our previously "normal" lives. We talk to Anthony about how he got the signature amaretto recipe from his Sicilian grandmother, who brought the family recipe over to Michigan where Anthony grew up. (Fun fact - His badass grandma also worked in the Keebler factory!) Anthony also gives us the basic formula and process for making amaretto and generously lets us add some into our coffee while we chat (a fantastic combo, btw). Might we recommend a splash in your own coffee tomorrow morning while you listen?... We're in quarantine, who cares! ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Fun Instagram Follows:  Lydia Santogade for great food ideas and hilarious movie reviews and dating drama @lydiasantogade Kingfisher in Durham is doing fantastic virtual Happy Hours most nights.
