Obadiah—a Brother's Keeper

Edom lived high in the rock cliffs and thought nobody could bring them down. Through Obadiah, God says otherwise, and pride is only half the charge. When invaders ransacked Jerusalem, Edom stood by, gloated, and hunted down the escaping survivors of their brother nation. God brought Edom down, and that nation is gone. The last line carries the hope: the kingdom will be the Lord's, so bow to Jesus now and stand on the winning side. Bible Reference: Obadiah Preacher: John Westendorp
