Obedience and Abundance

Words like “obedience” are usually received negatively. Hearing it triggers thoughts of subjugation, lack of freedom, being servile and weak; it is decidedly un-American! In the Bible, however, obedience is associated with abundance. More specifically, the wise person that lives well is the one who hears and obeys the word of God. In this sermon Meshach Kanyion will explain how God’s offer to bless Israel was contingent on them obeying his commandments, why they received this as plain good sense, and how this offer extends to us with more power, since God has come to us through Christ Jesus.
