Obedience Beyond the Walls: Pastor Sherrell Williams on Prophetic Confirmation, Fear, and Faith in Action

In this episode of Called & Courageous, I sit down with my mentor, Pastor Sherrel Williams—entrepreneur, minister, and founder of Sent For You Ministries, a dynamic “church without walls.” Pastor Sherrel shares her powerful testimony of leaving a familiar church setting to step fully into God’s calling, overcoming fear, and embracing a ministry that reaches beyond traditional walls. You’ll hear how prophetic confirmations, uncomfortable nudges, and pivotal incidents pushed her toward obedience—and the practical lessons she’s learned about faith, discernment, and daily surrender. If you’ve felt God calling you out of your comfort zone, this conversation will challenge and encourage you to take that first step in faith. What You’ll LearnHow to recognize when God is calling you to leave the familiarThe role of prophetic words and spiritual confirmation in obedienceWhy fear and lack of faith often delay God’s plansHow to discern God’s voice from personal desires or outside influencesThe blessings and challenges of a ministry “without walls”Why obedience is a daily choice, not a one-time decisionChapters00:00 – Welcome & Guest Intro: Pastor Sherrel Williams03:12 – The Call: When God says “Go” beyond the familiar09:25 – Prophetic Confirmation & Holy Spirit Nudges14:58 – Leaving Tradition: Courage to obey without all the details22:40 – Discernment 101: God’s voice vs. desire & outside pressure29:33 – Ministry Without Walls: Vision, structure, and covering36:05 – Confronting Fear & Delayed Obedience42:11 – Daily Surrender: Practical rhythms that keep you aligned49:20 – Testimonies & Fruit: What obedience produces55:04 – Final Word: Your first step of faith this weekSoundbites (pull-quotes)“You don’t have to see every step—just obey the first instruction.”“Prophetic confirmation doesn’t replace obedience; it strengthens it.”“Tradition is safe, but calling is sacred.”“Delayed obedience is still disobedience—but grace invites us forward.”“A church without walls is a people fully surrendered to God’s will.”🔔 Subscribe for weekly encouragement on walking in faith, living in obedience, and using your God-given story to impact others.📖 Ready to say yes and write your book?
