Obedience Leads Us to God's Will (8.22.2021)

Today, Bishop teaches from Philippians 2:12-13 on the importance of obedience. In this passage, Apostle Paul was calling the entire church to work together to rid themselves of divisions and discord. To live like Christians means having an attitude of obedience. Church members were encouraged to solve their problems as an act of obedience to God. Admiration for a great person can inspire us, but can't enable us to do the same. It takes more an example on the outside, it takes power on the inside for us to live saved. We cultivate a submissive mind by responding to the divine provisions God makes available to us. To "work out" one's salvation requires us to do something. We should strive to be a better person because of He who is inside us. Basically, this means putting into practice what God has worked in us by His spirit. We pray as you listen to this message, the Holy Spirit, will reveal to you the areas which need to be "worked out" so you can be all God has called you to be. Have a safe and bless week.
