The apostles came to the crossroads of having to obey God or obey man. Their obedience to the call came directly from their consecration to The Lord Himself. We too are at another big crossroads here in America as The Church. While many are being duped, going “woke” and tragically lolled back to sleep once again — the real church must rise against the tyranny and manipulation that seeks, not only to suppress the church, but to eradicate it. Will we honor the unchanging Word of God or compromise it to fit the sinful narrative of a corrupt generation? Will we boldly hold the standard or create a culture of accommodation so no one’s feelings are hurt? Will we be a standard bearer or go down with the masses? When they say once again that we are no longer “essential”, will we stand? The majority of the church got silent quickly during Covid. However, the true church rediscovered their courage, roar, fire and the unstoppable anointing of the Holy Spirit. In the fall of 2023, there is a fresh wave of fierce opposition coming. Diedrick Bonhoeffer said: “ I love my country and will give to it everything except one thing — my conscience. That belongs to the Kingdom of God, and when they clash, my conscience will bow only to the Kingdom of God.” The apostles wouldn’t back down. We will not back down, nor retreat, into hiding or silence. Jesus is calling us to overcome and manifest His triumph and victory amidst perilous times—remember, He has overcome this world!
