Objets Trouvés Archive #0: Amazeballs

from AwsumPawsm/Soulhaus Records · host AwsumPawsm/Soulhaus Records

For most of my adult life as a DJ, I searched for where I fit within this beautiful, sprawling, and endlessly complex world of electronic music. Along the way, I discovered countless genres I loved. I learned how to mix them, appreciate them, and lose myself in them. But the longer I spent searching for a category to call home, the more I realized that categories were never the point. After nearly 25 years behind the decks, I finally understood what I am: A connector of musical tissue. A curator of places, feelings, memories, and found objects. I don’t approach music through genres. I approach it through relationships. A groove that reminds me of a forgotten summer. A bassline that shares the same soul as a jazz record. A strange little track that somehow belongs beside something completely different. You may never know exactly where the journey is headed, and honestly, neither do I at the beginning. That’s part of the magic. All I ask is that you trust the process. Give yourself over to the ride for a little while. If I’ve done my job properly, you’ll understand exactly why we arrived where we did. Welcome to Objets Trouvés. TRACKLIST 1. Maxwell Owin - Fruits and Flowers 2. Simon J - George Lassos the Moon 3.
