Observant podcast, episode 7: how to get the most out of your student years and lay a foundation for the future

from Observant Podcast · host Observant

How do you study effectively? Why are breaks important during learning? What is a good balance between having fun and actually learning something? And how do those decisions impact your future life? More than you think, says Niklas Wenzel, a PhD candidate at the Education Institute of the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences. Wenzel believes that the best way to make the most of your student years is by thoroughly challenging yourself. Small decisions made now are the building blocks for later. “If you learn to persevere now, you’ll be able to do that in the future too. That’s not only important for yourself but also for others - think of your parents or siblings, the family you may one day start, your friends. You’re capable of much more than you think, as long as you challenge yourself. University is a place to discover, to grow, and to make mistakes while you still can, without major consequences.”
