Observations: Speaking truth to power

Parrhesia, speaking truth to power, is an important part of the prophetic ministry of the Church. It is seldom popular among those at whom it is directed, as can be seen when an Episcopal bishop in the United States confronted the president of that country in a sermon that has provoked both praise and condemnation.
