Obsession, the Most Important Thing About You
from JSWonders Hosted by Jon Sorensen, LMFT
I talk through a previous episode noting that most people who feel locked up on goals or vision, are not aligned with their true nature, as opposed to being traumatized or self sabotaging. Then I explore the flip side, where people who have a very distinct set of skills, a personality and a particular obsession will accuse others of being lazy or unfocused because other people don’t enjoy the same obsession. This becomes especially arrogant when someone’s obsession results in lots of money. The goal is not to shame successful people but to reduce shame around people who simply are not aware of their true talents, or are unaware of the value of their own obsessions.
