OC36 - Tim Ryan Author of _From Dope to Hope, A Man In Recovery_

from The One Day At A Time Recovery Podcast · host Arlina Allen

Tim Ryan is a man on a crusade to save the country from the opioid pandemic. In his book, "From Dope to Hope, A Man In Recovery", Tim shares his journey from being adopted into a loving family, to struggling with drug addiction, building up a successful business then losing it all, serving time in prison and the death of his son at 21 months sober. Tim speaks all over the country at treatment centers, prisons, churches, schools, universities and has been names one of the top 100 thought leaders of 2018 along side people like Oprah, and Bill and Melinda Gates. He has spoken at the Ted Conference, he has been on "The Doctors" TV Show, has an A&E special, Fox and many other shows. In this candid and very personal conversation, Tim tells the whole story of what happened, but also spends quite a bit of time talking about what we can do to help people struggling to recover from addiction and alcoholism. I am deeply grateful to Tim for being so generous with his time and admire his tireless efforts to help as many people as he can. Tim is actually very accessable and willing to help anyone who reaches out.
