"Ocean Breathes Salty": Ocean Underwriting Plays The Salty Adjuster’s First-Ever Game Show

The Salty Adjuster has officially entered its international era, its game show era, it's video episode era, and its "recording through a tornado" era (Taylor Swift could never). And through it all, the team at Sydney's Ocean Underwriting met every challenge head on. Welcome to our first-ever insurance game show. Inspired by their company's stellar Instagram marketing creativity, we invited Elizabeth Pace, Alexandra Merida and Seb Allison to compete in OCEAN’S ELEVEN: five rounds, questionable scoring, absolutely no prizes and one biased Salty host who insisted he somehow had seven points. And because apparently our production needed a little Wizard of Oz energy, an actual tornado warning hit Salty mid-recording. He disappeared. He called back in from his mobile. The show went on as it must. Which was appropriate, because Elizabeth revealed she’s a massive musical theater nerd, Seb introduced us to the office tradition of “Garyoke,” and the whole thing occasionally felt less like an insurance podcast and more like a show that should have had an overture and an intermission.Between AI slop, American insurance jingles, Australian translations, Nerds Gummy Clusters and dinosaurs, there’s also a real conversation here about why Ocean’s culture works. Their people genuinely seem to like each other, they know how to make complicated insurance approachable, and they’ve figured out how to have a personality without sacrificing professionalism.The lights stayed on.
