OCEAN PROMISE - Retrospective
from partyzanai Hosted by partyzanai
Ocean Promise is an alter ego project of Zoé Zoe - further persuasive evidence of Lithuania’s growing talent pool (see also Manfredas from Les Disques De La Mort, Silence Music founder Vidis or Jacques Gaspard Biberkopf). Just ask Maya Jane Coles, who bagged the title track of the Church EP for her DJ-Kicks compilation. Mantas Stonkus aka Ocean Promise is a 30 year old rebel, living in London. The music influences of Ocean Promise comes from the past heroes like Shades Of Rhythm, Lfo and Drexciya to this decade innovators Nina Kraviz, Skee Mask, ROD to name a few. “Monitoring The Future Survey EP” is Ocean Promise’s debut EP – compilation of Mantas' side experiments made in the last 6 years including remarkable "Shades", which is the first leftfield electronica creation of an artist and reminds early selected ambient works of Aphex Twin. EP is embelished with the contemporary and vinyl only Annanan’s Remix. Check also “Monitoring The Future Survey Remixes EP", which includes a bonus track “Doppelhubpumpe” and 300 Degrees, Darius Vaikas and IJO remixes.
