ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪਨਾ ਨਾਠਾ ਦੁਖ ਠਾਉ ॥ ਬਿਸ੍ਰਾਮ ਪਾਏ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਤਾ ਤੇ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਨ ਧਾਉ ॥੧॥ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਗੁਰ ਆਪਨੇ ਚਰਨਨੑ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਉ ॥ ਅਨਦ ਸੂਖ ਮੰਗਲ ਬਨੇ ਪੇਖਤ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਕਥਾ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਰਾਗ ਨਾਦ ਧੁਨਿ ਇਹੁ ਬਨਿਓ ਸੁਆਉ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੁਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਭਏ ਬਾਂਛਤ ਫਲ ਪਾਉ ॥੨॥੬॥੭੦॥ ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ (ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ) ਚਰਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਨੰਦ, ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਰੇ ਚਾਉ-ਹੁਲਾਰੇ ਬਣੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ (ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਉਸ (ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ) ਤੋਂ ਕਦੇ ਪਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਭੱਜਦਾ। (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਅਜੇਹੀ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਹੀ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।੧। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਆਖ-ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਥਾ-ਕਹਾਣੀਆਂ, ਕੀਰਤਨ, ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਲਗਨ-ਇਹੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾ ਬਣ ਗਏ ਹਨ। (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਨਾਲ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ (ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ) ਬਹੁਤ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਮੈਂ ਹੁਣ ਮਨ-ਮੰਗਿਆ ਫਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ।੨।੬।੭੦। Bilawalu Mahla 5. Hey brother! I go to sacrifice from my Guru, I go to the feet (of my Guru) for charity. After seeing the Guru, I sing the praises of the Lord, and all the joy, all the happiness, all the excitement remain in me. 1. Stay. Hey brother! Having joined the company of the Guru, I have attained abode at the Lord's feet (therefore) never running away from him (saadh Sangati). (With the blessing of the Guru's company) I have meditated on my Lord all the time (I have already reached the state that the place of suffering has been removed from me). 1. O Nanak! Say, O brother! By the grace of the Guru) stories of the Lord, kirtan, devotion to praise-these have become the goal of my life. (By Guru's grace) Prabhu ji has become very happy (with me), I am now getting the desired fruit. 2.6.70.
