Hey Carpool Crew, it’s Pastor Justin, and today we’re talking about a fear that hits a lot of kids — What if I get in trouble? Maybe you know that sinking feeling in your stomach when a teacher calls your name, or when your parents give you that look. You just want to do everything right. You want people to be proud of you. But here’s the truth — even good kids mess up sometimes, and that’s okay. In 1 John 1:9, the Bible says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” That means when we make mistakes, God doesn’t want us to hide or pretend to be perfect. He just wants us to be honest — because forgiveness is real. In this episode, we talk about what Jesus might say when you’re scared of getting in trouble or when you’ve already messed up. He wouldn’t scold you or make you feel small. He’d say, “Come to Me. Be honest. I’ll forgive you. I’ll help you grow.” You’ll learn how to let go of fear, be honest when you’ve made a mistake, and trust that Jesus sees your heart — not just your behavior. So the next time you feel that “uh-oh” moment coming, remember: you’re not a bad kid. You’re a loved kid, growing and learning under God’s grace.
