Argue your case with your neighbor himself, and do not reveal another's secret.” — Proverbs 25:8–9“The man went away and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had healed him.” — John 5:15________________________________________Have you ever been so sure you were right that you rushed to call someone out—only to realize later you didn’t have the full picture? In Proverbs 25:8–10, we’re reminded not to act impulsively when we feel wronged or want to prove a point. Jesus’ encounter in John 5 shows a different kind of caution: after healing a man on the Sabbath, Jesus is quickly judged by the religious leaders. They were more focused on catching Him breaking a rule than on the miracle that just changed someone’s life.Both moments speak to how quickly we can jump to conclusions or speak out without wisdom. Whether it’s drama at school, something on social media, or a misunderstanding with a friend, the Bible calls us to pause, think, and act with humility.________________________________________THINK ABOUT IT1. Don’t Rush to Judge: Before you call someone out, check your heart. Are you seeking peace or just trying to be “right”?2. See the Bigger Picture: Like the Pharisees who missed the miracle because of their rules, we can miss what God is doing when we’re too focused on being in control.________________________________________BOTTOM LINEReal wisdom means slowing down, thinking things through, and handling others with respect—even when it’s hard. When I feel wronged or frustrated, remind me to pause and respond in a way that honors You. Teach me to handle conflict with grace and to look for what You’re doing in every situation.
