Octoberama 2018, Vol. 4: Ghoulies/Critters

Awwww Grave Plot Podcast fans! Don’t you dare be sour, clap for your favorite horror movie podcast and feel the power! It’s a new day, yes it is, which means it’s time for another installment of Ocotoberama! Today’s edition was selected by our Patreon patrons, and it’s Week of the Mini-Monster! Before we get to all that though, we’ve got some things to say about Jason “Tommy” Blum and his recent comments about female directors. We then jump into Real World Horror, where we discuss the ongoing supernatural battle over Brett Kavanaugh’s eternal soul. Yes, really. In Horror Business, we have a bunch of stories from the small screen. We discuss new television shows based on Dracula and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter as well as updates on the TV adaptations of Creepshow and Child’s Play. We do have one big screen story to talk about and that’s the apparent upcoming remake of Wrong Turn, of all things. Finally we get to our mini-monster film reviews. Up first is 1985’s Ghoulies, which somehow spawned an entire franchise that included the titular ghoulies going to college.
