Ode to CBGB's

The "country, bluegrass and blues" club that gave birth to American punk, CBGB's, will close later this month. That's right, the national treasure that introduced us to Ramones, Blondie, Talking Heads, Television, Richard Hell, and so many other great punk and new wave bands, will soon be history. (The legendary Patti Smith will play the final CBGB's show on Oct. 15.)
