Of the First Part of Christ's Prophetical Office - TFOL #9

This morning's devotional is from "The Fountain of Life" by John Flavel as we look at the 9th sermon based on Acts 3:22: "A Prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; Him shall you hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you". Flavel unpacks the first part of what it means for Christ to be our saving prophet as the Godman, how Christ speaks to us today through his Word, and why we ought to esteem the work of the ministry as the voice of Christ in the Spirit. He then charges ministers to follow the example of Jesus, and charges Christians to esteem the ministry as the gift of Jesus to us.
