Officer Fires After Agitated Woman Attacks Patrol Car | Las Vegas News

A tense early morning standoff at the College of Southern Nevada’s Charleston campus left one woman critically injured after she charged at two Las Vegas police officers with an edged weapon, shouting demands for them to shoot her. Officers attempted to use a Taser and ordered her to drop the weapon, but she continued advancing — prompting 28-year-old Officer Delylah Donegan to fire her weapon in self-defense. The woman was hospitalized in critical but stable condition; no officers were harmed. Authorities confirm she has no connection to the college, and Officer Donegan is on paid administrative leave while the LVMPD investigates further. More details expected from Assistant Sheriff Dori Koren later today. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
