Hi! This is Micah from Modern Hysteria — and, now, the Modern Hysteria PODCAST! This pod has been a long time coming … ten years, in fact. My anonymous egg donation in 2014 was the catalyst for an unraveling of my body and brain through anxiety, depression, pregnancy loss, preeclampsia, hysterectomy, PMDD, and surgical menopause. The earlier years, the ones during which I felt most alone, were the hardest. Because we were not meant to go through any of this by ourselves. That’s why I’m recording this podcast. It’s the one I wish I had ten years ago, so I would have known I wasn’t crazy, I wasn’t alone, and that there was hope for healing.
