The Florida State Seminoles were double digit favorites against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets but got out-muscled in the season opener in Dublin, Ireland. The Rambling Wreck pulled off the 24-21 upset. They held the Seminoles to just 98 rushing yards and did not allow a single sack against a defensive line that was heralded to be the best in the country. DJ Uiagalelei had a tepid debut as FSU’s starting quarterback. Head coach Mike Norvell did not appear to trust DJ to throw down the field. He averaged just 7.1 yards per pass.
