Oh Baby! Episode 133 with Becky Coluntino - Owner Capstone Doula Services

Becky has been an Occupational Therapist in the Boston area for 13 years. On this episode she shares her experiences working in hospitals at the time of the Boston Marathon Bombings (actually having to move patients into the new Spaulding Facility at the time) and then as a doula working with pregnant clients during the Pandemic. Becky used the servies of a Doula for her first pregnancy and found it to be very helpful. Once the pandemic hit, her family members, out of concern for her health were urging her to leave the hospital. Within no time, she knew just which direction to go.  She began her path to becoming a Doula, helping couples with their pregnancy and post-partum journeys. She found that many of the tools she was using with Occupational Therapy were easily transferrable to this new career! She is a mom to 2 young children and the owner of Capstone Doula Services.  She helps new moms and their partners with childbirth, post-partum and infant education and care.
