Oh Canada, Part Deux! Former Fitness Competitor, Police Officer and Binge Eater Shares Her Story of Life In the "Plump" Lane | An Interview With Christine Dobrocky

from Recovery Hour · host Lori Windfeldt

episode 2 of 2 CHRISTINE DOBROCKY holds nothing back as she speaks candidly about her years long struggle with disordered eating, addiction interaction disorder (fitness & food), as well as driving (not riding on the back of) a motorcycle. Admitting she hasn't had a whole lot of luck with love, Christine continues to navigate the murky waters of "online dating" in recovery and amidst a global pandemic (yikes).  Being bullied as a young girl, FAT has been removed from her vocabulary, and replaced with a gentler word... plump. She knew at a young age, she would "show them" how she wasn't fat, and began her obsession with extreme exercise and dieting. At the age of 15, Christine had her first gym membership, with hopes of proving she CAN get smaller. This lead her to the world of fitness competitions and becoming a die hard figure competitor. If you've ever wondered about eating disorders, you do not want to miss this episode!  THE RECOVERY HOUR INSPIRE others to tell their story || LIVE your best life || GIVE back to those in need.
