Oh Snap! The Top 10 TikTok Trends of 2024 That Had Us Shook 😱🔥 From AI Besties to Lobby Dancing, We Spill the Tea! 🍵💅

This is your Best TikTok Trends of 2024 podcast. Hey, hey, it's your favorite trend-spotting buddy, Best of Billy, and you know what time it is—end-of-year wrap-up season! It’s been a wild ride on TikTok in 2024, and I’m here to spill the tea on the ten best trends that have kept us scrolling, laughing, and creating like there’s no tomorrow. Ready? Let’s dive in! First up, the "Reverse Aging Glow-Up Challenge"! People have been using effects, makeup, and clever editing to show what they’d look like 20 years younger and then snapping back to the present. It’s fun, it’s nostalgic, and it’s filled with heartfelt “then vs. now” stories that tug at the heartstrings. Next, we had the rise of "Quiet Chaos ASMR." Forget the old tapping and whispering—we’re talking candid, unintentional sounds like dogs drinking water, messy car trunk cleaning, or peeling stickers for no reason. It’s soothing and oddly addictive. Oh, and who could forget "Dinner Drafts"? This trend had families, roommates, and couples playfully debating the night’s meal choices as though they were professional sports teams. Pizza as the number one draft pick? Always. Okay, the "AI BFF Trend" deserves a standing ovation. People created custom AI best friends based on filters and text-to-speech features, then scripted hysterical conversations. It was peak chaos and comedy—a little freaky, but we’re here for it. Speaking of chaotic, give a round of applause for "Lobby Dancing!" Whether it was at hotels, offices, or airports, people turned lobbies into dance floors, shooting fun choreography videos under security cameras. Think flashmob energy, minus the crowd. Let’s not leave out the "Generational Accessory Swap." Boomers, Millennials, and Gen Z traded fashion staples like mom’s pearls, dad’s big belts, or Gen Z's bucket hats, proving style really does come full circle. Then there was "One Word Movie Reactions." This was pure creativity. People described their favorite movies using only banned or out-of-context single words, leaving us laughing and guessing. Trust me, “watermelon” has never been more suspicious. Of course, 2024 wasn’t complete without the "Look But Don’t Touch Art Trend," where people recreated famous sculptures or paintings using household items. This took DIY to a whole new level—Michelangelo would be proud. Let’s not forget "Pet Dub Karaoke." Dragging our pets into the fun, folks sang badly to songs while pets *clearly* disapproved—or joined in with yowls that could rival Mariah Carey. And finally, the "Micro Routine Flex." Instead of sharing full-blown morning routines, creators posted oddly specific snippets, like how they make coffee, doodle in a notebook, or water plants. It was weirdly intimate and satisfying. And there you have it—the TikTok trends that ruled 2024! Whether you were all in with the AI BFFs or dancing in hotel lobbies, this year proved creativity knows no bounds. What were your faves?
