Ohio Player with Heart: Averi Stitzel
from Brownfield Ag News
Averi Stitzel has been chosen as a Beck’s Player with Heart for her dedication and passion both on and off the court. She is a leader among her peers, serving as captain of the volleyball team, president of her FFA chapter, vice president of her class, and director of activities for Spanish NHS. She is also a participating member of National Honor Society, Science NHS, and school ambassadors. Additionally, she has been a member of 4-H for ten years. Being part of a team gives Averi a strong sense of belonging. It has taught her that life is not only about winning, but also about supporting others and working together toward a common goal. For her community, she has helped organize multiple blood drives and has participated in Adopt-A-Family, Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child, and Sole Hope. Through agriculture, Averi feels a strong connection to her family, her community, and the world around her. Working alongside her grandfather on their farm has taught her patience, responsibility, and respect. Averi plans to pursue a career as a physician’s assistant, while also continuing to find ways to improve the world through agriculture. She says these experiences have helped her discover her purpose: making a positive difference in the lives of young people.
