Ohio State vs Indiana Reaction + Analysis | College Football 2023

from College Football with Sam · host Samuel Recker

Ohio State Football struggled on offense against Indiana, only scoring 23 points and only converting 2 of 12 3rd down attempts. In spite of the Buckeyes' poor performance on offense, I think Kyle McCord has locked down the starting quarterback job. McCord went 20 of 33 for 239 yards and 1 interception, but he did make some good throws and improved in the 2nd half. Tight end Cade Stover led the team in receiving yards with 98 and running back Miyan Williams scored the only 2 touchdowns of the game via the ground. Both Ohio State's and Indiana's defense played well. The Hoosiers bent but rarely broke and caused disruption in the passing game, and the Buckeyes looked like an NFL team on the defensive side of the ball with their elite coverage, speed, and force. I think safety Sonny Styles is going to be an elite contributor on defense this year, along with cornerback Denzel Burke and fellow Safety Lathan Ransom. Defensive linemen JT Tuimoloau and Hero Kanu also had impressive games, while Andre Carter made big plays for Indiana. I encourage anyone reading this description to keep your reaction to this game at a minimum. Ohio State was disappointing, yes, but their potential is insane and I am confident the College Football world will see Ryan Day's squad make tremendous strides in the next two or three weeks. Many Top 10 teams, including Michigan and Penn State, had their own struggles in Week 1 as well. l Make sure to comment so I can interact with you and answer any questions you have!
