Ohio State's Brutal Non-Conference Gauntlet | Ohio State Buckeyes Basketball News

Ohio State’s non-conference schedule is a brutal gauntlet, featuring five high-major teams before conference play even begins. They open with exhibitions against Cincinnati and Butler, then face UConn in a massive early test on November 13th — kicking off a home-and-home series against the Huskies, who returned elite talent like Solo Ball. The real fireworks come at Madison Square Garden on December 19th, when they clash with Kansas in the CBS Sports Classic — their first meeting since the 2012 Final Four. Before that, they head to Notre Dame on December 12th for another tense rematch, where they narrowly edged them last year. With games against BYU, Youngstown State, and Vanderbilt rounding out the slate — including a new home-and-home with Vandy — this schedule is built to push Ohio State to its limits and prepare them for Big Ten chaos.
