Welcome to OHSCA Interviews! Today we have the former leader of the Conservative Party of Canada and the MP for Regina—Qu'Appelle joining us, The Honourable Andrew Scheer. Andrew was elected to be the MP for Regina—Qu'Appelle at the age of 25, having beat out the longest serving MP at the time in 2004. In 2011, he was chosen to be the 35th Speaker of the House of Commons, being the youngest person in Canadian History in that position. He became the Leader of the CPC in 2017, and in the 2019 election, he reduced Justin Trudeau to a minority government, gained more seats for the CPC, and he won the popular vote. Under the leadership of our new leader, Erin O’Toole, he serves as the Shadow Minister of Infrastructure and Communities.
