Это цитата из мемуаров Юхо Кусти Паасикиви, министра и члена финской делегации, который в марте 1940 года участвовал в переговорах о завершении советско-финской войны. За 105 дней в этой войне погибли почти 127 тысяч советских солдат и 25 тысяч финских. Переговоры проходили в Кремле на фоне широкомасштабного наступления Красной армии.
