Old friends of mine

Old Friends of Mine What’ve you been up to? My God it’s been years! You haven’t aged a bit! I remember the time, what was his name? You still have that sense of wit! Things you might hear or catch yourself saying, meeting with friends long astray I thought to myself as in bed I was laying, what would my word be to you today? Well friends it’s been years since we rocked this little town Our lives travelled left and right, we all had ups and down But you never left my life, no matter if not in sight, even though we did not talk See those years lived on in stories I told my son since before he could walk From time to time, in tears of sorrow; especially though to share in laughter Those yesterdays will always see tomorrow, our love lives ever after So here’s to you friends, and thanks for then, those memories mean so much But this time let’s vow to meet again, and never fall out of touch!
