All right, all right. Well, I think our media team put together a little resource for us today So why don't you guys go ahead and put that on the screen look at that Let's just take this in for a second. I think what we're seeing is a pretty profound Dividing line between the old and the new you'll see it's in the shape of a cross very intentionally But friend this isn't just old and new identities. This is old and new covenants.
This is old and new mindsets This is old and new manifestations in your life You'll notice if you just this is just a taste but if you just study what he's accomplished You'll see that he didn't make subtle tweaks and subtle changes to who he says that we are I mean this is a night and day this is like the gospel quite literally changing everything and What's amazing to me is the longing of every heart on planet earth for all time? Can actually be satisfied in the thing that Jesus brought and he brought this thing called the kingdom and everything Yes, you're due identity on this list. It's included in the kingdom But it's like the sum total of what Jesus accomplished It's in this thing called the kingdom and the first time that he ever talks about it He actually gives us the key on how to access it and he says Repent for the kingdom of heaven is now here. It's accessible.
It's at hand and friends repentance for the millions time If you have been here a while is not crying into the carpet at an altar or sat over your sin Look up the word Greek word meta noia It means to think different or to change the way that you think and I want you to see what's on the screen because it's not What our old identity was and the old way that we actually related to God and even to ourselves Could not be fixed Right this could not be tweaked this could not be corrected and adjusted that old thing had to literally die So when he says what it's like to actually come after him He's like but you have to die though you have to pick up your cross and follow me and as we were united in his death We were united in his burial and the thing had to die You track it Galatians 220 I have been this is after fall I got born again. I have been crucified with Christ Colossians 3 3 for you died and your life is now hidden in God with Christ are you catching the theme? There was not a tweaking there was not a changing to who we were it was a death a slaughtering of what was you tracking united with Jesus And crucifixion was he was beaten more than any of the sons of men. It was a gruesome Sluttering of what once was are you tracking?
So the importance here is that how we begin though? To access what he accomplished even in our identity is by changing how we're thinking Because what happened here on the screen what happened in the gospel? Was actually spiritually done and this is tough see because there's three parts to our being spirit soul body We are spirit beings that have a soul that live in a body that is incredibly important But you have to track with this here because even though we're spiritual beings and spirit beings We very much live here carnal tastes touch smell the senses right physicality. We have this frame physical earth This is what's real to us.
This is a challenge because what he accomplished wasn't like in the carnal realm in the field realm It was in the spirit realm and that's why when you got born again How is how could you honestly say that your pure blameless spotless and the list goes on because if we're in the carnal realm? We're looking at the mirror and we're like looking at our life or like nope The only way this makes sense is to tap into that revelation the basics right of spirits whole body So yes, this happened in the spirit, but over here in the spirit I mean there are realities that are honestly if you want to just boil it down their facts You have been set free from sin friend that is a fact in the spirit Even like you start reading about healing it says that by his stripes You were past tense healed and this isn't just a spiritual healing track this It is a physical healing that took place in the spirit So it isn't just spiritual healing you got physically healed in the spirit Thousands of years ago by one act of the man Jesus by his stripes you're tracking But here's the thing it is a fact for some of us that we're not free from sin in the carnal realm It is a fact for some of us that we haven't gotten breakthrough in whatever else we wanted to get breakthrough in physical healing relationships finances You name it that's real this is real on in the spirit realm and everything that he accomplished So that is why he is shouting from the rooftops How you access what he accomplished in the spirit is by beginning to change the way that you think? Now the strategy because I believe that both kingdoms understand is fully that like in the spirit realm literally the currency of the spirit realm and how it functions is in something called agreement and in what you're in agreement with empowers that thing and You know just to use the analogy of like roadkill on the side of the road Will it not release the fragrance to attract flies vultures and things to it? I just want to present the idea that there are decaying ideas and thoughts and mindsets that we have That actually attract unseen realities into our life And this goes so far beyond the law of attraction which is a counterfeit to the spiritual law of agreement in the spirit So I need you to understand that since both kingdoms understand this there is a war for the mindset of a son of God Because we got set free in the spirit, but our soul which is our mind will emotions personality conscience hasn't been born again Hasn't been renewed yet as it will in the age to come and same with our frame We haven't got glorified bodies yet.
So there's only two things that the kingdom of darkness can even access We are sealed friend if you said yes to him you are sealed We talk about demonic possession not at the spirit friend you can get as a believer demonized in the soul of the body You can experience oppression, but not possession you track with that. So the war is at the actual mind though Like there's this it's a fulcrum. It's like everything hinges on your mindset in both kingdoms knowing and the Bible is not even shy They're not pulling punches the writers that we see here because they're like really perfuse on this topic You know if you actually want to see transformation to what's been accomplished in the new you actually have to get a quote unquote renewed mind Be transformed by the renewing of your mind Then you have to get like make decisions okay because this isn't a passive thing You have to actually make intentional decisions to set your mind on things above Because the mind matters so much so that carnality and spirit though They seem to almost be at war with each other But in some senses they just really aren't like what we can do is we can actually bring heaven to earth and they say yes, sir This isn't quite a warring against the spirit thing, but we'll get into that in a minute What I want to actually have you understand though is a mind set on spirit is life in peace But the carnal mind isn't death So I almost want us to get vision for the fact that like maybe there's two realities on the screen a spirit reality But then how we're functioning and this is tragic, okay? This is tragic because I believe that even the kingdom of darkness uses a strategy of religion to control sons and daughters Because if they can control the mind they can control the family and they're using the mindset the beliefs the thoughts of the sons and daughters To make them think that the new hasn't actually happened yet when I tried to break free from sin I Was waiting on things because again when you're trapped between two different realities two different facts You're left then to try and make peace with that or make sense with that So when I was trying to break free from pornography I read in a Roman six that I am Like it says friend past tense you want to get stirred read a Roman six for freedom It's a past tense event the very thing that was entangling us and enslaving us to sin died You have been past tense set free from sin But when you're actually facing that and seeing a different reality in your life You come to peace with that usually at the cost of truth Usually and the truth is what sets you free so there's a cost here and and when you sacrifice What's true for something that seems right to a man it ends in death and what seemed right to me Was looking at this list it made sense to me that if I'm not seeing the reality in my life It must be for the age to come it must be for heaven someday Maybe I'll be free in the age to come maybe I'll be healed in the age to come Then I could be a son then I could enter in boldly before the throne of grace Does that make sense to you because it makes sense of the carnal mind or?
If you start getting into some of the more charismatic Expressions of Christianity like I was starting to maybe 15 years ago I started hearing testimonies of different people like getting an encounter and they got set free from their sin addiction from the encounter I was like good good for you. That sounds good. I want that and I'd wait and I'd wait Come encounter me Lord. I'm just waiting on a word I like give me a dream I want like a thing to pull me out because it worked for so-and-so do you get a little mindsets?
Insulate the sin it protects the sin and it keeps us into into some like prison cellar and chains that literally aren't even there But our mind thinks it is and I don't know why God set it up this way But he did friend that even your body responds to believe in some of the most illogical ways You even think of like you give the science experiments They give somebody a sugar pill and tell them it's chemo they believe it in their hair falls out the placebo effect It's science friend Even your body at the carnal the physical realm is hinged on what you're believing and sometimes we take the word the carnal Doctor in front of us because we can see and hear it it it makes sense to us They're the ones of authority, but the great physician Says a different word and we want to believe it But this is what we know but God's in the spirit and we're like could you speak to me and it happens just differently than we're Used to hearing things and now we're like God doesn't speak to me But friends things in spirit. They're just different and even laws in the spirit They're just some mystery wrapped around them. They're less structured less black and white and we have to make room for some of that Sworliness that we don't like in this country But I just feel like we have to break some mindsets though like mostly tonight is talking about what are some mindsets that are robbing Jesus from receiving his reward in this age because I know a lot of times in Christen and we're like I Need to say the sinners prayer so that I can go to heaven no one comes to heaven, but by Jesus It's that's a lot of backwards stuff there because I just said I'm awful. That sounds right, but almost none of it is It's not nobody gets to heaven, but by Jesus.
It's nobody gets to the father But by him this thing is not about heaven friend the heavens were made for God the earth was made for man His desire is to bring his realities to ours And so that's why I started this message by saying friend He brought the kingdom of heaven and he didn't put it up here over there He didn't put it to your left or your right look 17 20 for the kingdom of heaven is within you Dude specifically says don't look up down left or right because you're not hunting anymore You have been given everything that you need Ephesians 1 3 every spiritual blessing has already been given to you, but we got beggar language He's already given and we're asking for him to give our language reflects belief out of the overflow the mouth Of the overflow the heart the mouth speaks there it is I'm gonna just say one quick thing about speaking out of the overflow the heart I believe that one of the greatest displays of power in the spirit realm happen when somebody confesses with their mouth What they're believing in their heart friend that release like the power of God to resurrect you in the spirit realm There is some serious power that gets released when you just speak what you're believing and sometimes you can't help That's that overflow verse. I've overfall the heart the mouth speaks or sometimes you can actually heart check your own self by hearing yourself You can get a grip for like what you believe about yourself and about God just by listening to a person talk to him So that's okay to spot check some things, but I've also noticed in like praying for the sick and healing How many times pray from my mind? Because you do it enough right like you kind of get the language if you're in the culture even at every day We believe for signs and wonders and we see them But sometimes when you hang out in community and in culture you get language and they just want to make sure you're saying the right thing and praying the right thing right It's even worse if you're honestly just candidly It's even worse if you're seen as a leader in this space because they're like hey I need you a leader person to come over here and heal this person and then you're like well great I mean put on the spot this better sound good. I relate with the disciples with the epileptic boy crowd Kid thrown himself into the fire with seizures.
That's some pretty like in front of your face stuff And they're like alright disciples you roll with Jesus you heal him couldn't heal him I've noticed in myself in my own little experience that when you actually pray for the sick not from your mind with the right words But from almost like groanings in your heart that might come out as a word or like something that doesn't even necessarily make sense Powers released and I think that it's more of a swirly spiritual stuff that I don't get But I think there's something on this that if we don't say the right thing We just believe different and it doesn't matter than the exact words You could just say healed and like that it's almost like groanings beyond words like you know how it goes praise for us with growing Like it's something there's something on that and so I feel like as we take ground and identity We're gonna start noticing changes happening by speaking from overflow our hearts All right, so the first mindset is probably the most common. It's on the screen top left It's the first one under old. I feel like this maybe is the most tragic Because there was something that was breaking connection with us and God relational connection and it's very simply sin Why well in the old it resulted in actual physical separation Gilshin condemnation had to repent kill an animal blood covers sin like it was a thing in the in the new The the blood of God doesn't cover sin Now it almost sounds blasphemous, but I'm comparing it to the blood of bulls and goats The blood of bulls and goats atoned look that word up. It just means to cover that means the sin is still there though It didn't actually remove anything But like on this side of the cross We think that we have to keep short accounts with God so that we can stay forgiven We think it's up to us to like know we've sinned first of all good luck with that All those little micro sins and little micro aggressions and micro everything on the inside that you don't even know you're doing Remember to confess you send because man if you messed up you get hit by a car on the way home and you die then what?
Well, you got him confessed sin well, then what? This is popular doctrine. There's uncertainty on a right standing before God because it's based on our ability to know and confess It all comes from one verse first John one nine which we think is a bar of soap to help us keep clean If you confess your sense he's faithful and just to forgive your sins and cleanse you from all in righteousness It seems right, but that's actually your born-again experience Friend if that was a bar of soap just read the context read the first eight verses and you'll be like he's talking about somebody who calls God a liar Is in deception not walking in the truth? He like describes a person that needs Jesus and then he's like but if you confess your sins he's faithful and just That's the only verse that says you've got to confess to get forgiven and it's talking about getting born again But pop the old doctrine Says otherwise So what is up with that?
I honestly believe both kingdoms know the mindset the thoughts and the beliefs of the sons and daughters are all they have to get So if the kingdom of darkness can get you sin conscious and sin focused it will break boldness And it will break connection with God it will get you focusing on trying to get clean instead of thinking him that you are Now you have to understand though friend that like just like your old self your old nature your old man to use all the language that Paul uses In the epistles just like this old thing had to die and couldn't be fixed Trend your mindset and beliefs have to die with the old that is the whole repent for the kingdoms here think different change Are you thinking because everything we've been waiting for is inside of you? So this sinner thing is a problem. It's like a My name is John and I am an alcoholic And then we try and tell John to be free of the very thing that he identifies as Do you realize how much we identify with our addictions identify with our diagnosis physically? Like there is a well-known phrase implanted into the minds of sons and daughters of God from the medical community Which is once a cancer patient always a cancer patient and it's in the 12 steps once an alcoholic always an alcoholic So you have to understand that like if you want change if you want to see What he accomplished manifest in your 80 years not just in the age to come We have to sweep all of those old mindsets away and start thinking different.
No, we have to like this isn't even optional It's not semantics. It's not just play on words. No, this is important friend Because you are not a sinner trying to break free from addiction. You are a freed son Crushing addiction in your life You go down the physical healing trail.
It's a fact that you're healed So you are a healed and delivered person fighting off sickness Do you realize how different that is because if I'm over here and I'm sick and I'm trying to get over there Then I'm in need. I'm a beggar. I'm a slave again. I'm a victim I'm waiting for something to happen you have to change the way you think be transformed by the renewing of your mind Problem is though as a man thinks in his heart.
So is he you'll manifest what you believe about you? I believe that I am an addicted person. So you'll manifest Whatever you focus on Will grow in your life You'll give life to whatever you're focusing on so if you're trying to break free from sin by trying not to With the identity of sinner good luck Good luck, and that's the rat race that the average Christians in God's angry. I'm trying not to sin I'm paying my tithes and I'm holding on until I get picked up by the heaven bus and the devil's scary God's passive And I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be doing here So I'm gonna huddle up with other Christians and keep to myself and watch out for the Antichrist, right?
Mindsets mindsets beliefs that result in that level of passivity limp risk to Christianity Your sons and daughters of God. He did not ask you to ask him to heal the sick cast out devils and raise the dead He said you do it. You better you better believe if God commands the thing he's gonna empower the command He's gonna give you everything that you need to make sure that you do what he said But we're waiting on him. He's waiting on us.
We're addicted and sick. We're trying to get over here We're not sure how maybe somebody if they like starve their body long enough and don't sin long enough could pray a prayer that said right to get me Well, you don't have two natures. You don't have a sin nature and a divine nature on the inside of you I don't know if you get this but the sin nature the old man the old self died You want to read Romans 6 again read Romans 6 again that thing is so gone. Do you realize you're not fighting you when you're trying to get free?
Do you realize that you're not the problem? You're not at war with yourself You're not needing to beat yourself up into submission Your war is very simply with sin itself not with you Sin is still at work in our beings, but friend We've been set free from that thing and sin will have no dominion over you That's wrong and it's a fact right here. We need to start thinking over here We need to set our mind on the spirit Which is life in peace because when we do the realities of the physical tangible realm will start to say yes, sir You want to see change in your life changing your relationships? We have to obsess over what he accomplished over here and then stop praying like you're over there He set you here.
You have been seated with him in heavenly places. You're not working. You're sitting you're resting He did all the heavy lifting you sit you rest and take hold of what he accomplished by faith. That's the invitation That's the invitation.
I'm tired of a sweaty brow. I don't know about you the old covenant the old way of dealing with God Are you kidding me? It's based on my abilities? That's hard because I'm not that good at like not doing bad things and thinking bad things.
I mess up I'm so glad I have a righteousness a right standing with God not of my own that comes through works of the law According Paul, but a righteousness of God that is strong righteousness. I don't know if you hurt me You have the same right standing before the father that Jesus does and his right standing does not go in and out based off Scott Vayner worth performance. Thank God Your covenant was not made with you your covenant was made between God and God the father and Jesus also strong Also not going anywhere Friend you can enter into the throne of grace boldly because he removed every one of your sins eternity far away from you like east is from the west is an eternity distance. I'm pretty sure and He put him on the ocean floor You can walk into the throne of grace boldly because he actually crucified that old self and it doesn't exist anymore You're like him now, spiritually and in the age to come man.
We're gonna get glorified bodies We're gonna get like fully glorified minds, but what a privilege for 80 years to take the realities of heaven and get glimpses of manifestation and it's a hand we're not begging here Dude, he put it inside of you rivers of living water coming from your belly because it's here on the inside of you All you got to do start thinking different believing different like I firmly believe that every action Is rooted in the thought that produced it and we need to start having different thoughts because when you think different you be different You can't be to do Friend you got to think different to be different once once you are different. It's like Knowing the truth will set you free knowing is not like mentality alone. It's like the Old Testament knowing You know what I mean? It's like where the two become one.
It's like we know the father because he's inside of us And we're inside of him that is intimate my friend. This is there's this knowing of the truth That means you've got to like saturate it's like a you're in like a pool of truth And you're doing back flips and back strokes and like chilling in this like you don't leave what's true You hear it. You've got to sit under it again hit me again with what's true. You've got to read it I need another book.
I need another message. I need another conversation with a friend because it's building new neural pathways You're like you're building a new network. Okay, so read it right it say it sing it pray it read it right it say it sing it pray it Get it in you get the truth in you obsess on this side a mindset over here is life in peace But it takes decisions to do that Because I think that we're in this current I remember talking about this at the main men retreat as guys were talking about how like there's a current There's like a river that's pulling us over here into carnality. That's pulling us into numb pulling us into apathy And if you're not actually taking ground you're literally losing it You can't just stay in one place unless you're actually walking like if you walk at the same pace as the current You're literally breaking even you do nothing like what covid did the whole body Christ for the year We did nothing and we're like oh my goodness.
Why am I so numb? Friend you actually have to take ground to move against this current. It's in the mind It's decisions that we make starting here. This is important stuff.
All right, so last thing we'll go after is our judgment day experience Because yeah, I rattle off a few things on you know What we're believing about the Antichrist and the H to come a lot of us think that we're gonna be you know floating angels with harps and whatever No, no There's gonna be a new heavens and a new earth and it'll be here There's a new earth, okay, but I want to explain to you what judgment days like because what I see written Sounds very different than what the pastors and teachers that I grew up under kind of taught me It's different than maybe what popular religion teaches so can we take two minutes on this? This is what's coming for you. I feel like we should talk about it Why is it that popular belief is that there's this final day coming of judgment? That looks something like a whole bunch of people like probably everybody we know and then some and a big movie screen And what gets displayed on this movie screen is everything you did in your life?
All your sin all the good stuff all the bad stuff all the in between stuff and maybe it's a great and terrible day because it's like Public shaming. I don't know but you better watch what you do because everybody's gonna see it someday It's more it's more sin consciousness. It's more eggshell stuff. It's like trying to make you it's trying to control people Instead of free hearts When when the blood of Jesus Removed your sin and put it on the ocean floor The words from the father in the Old Testament props on about what's come says I will remember their sin no more It is impossible For him to dispatch an angel to go deep-seat diving to the ocean floor wherever your sins are To extract them shoot back up to the third heavens for your slideshow But what is it?
It's not that it's not that your sins are removed from they just are this it says we have boldness on the day of judgment Because your sins aren't being judged. You're not being judged This is crazy So there's two judgment seats talked about in the New Testament one is called the judgment seat of Christ and one is called the Great White Throne They could be two different seats. I'm not right quite sure Maybe the judgment seat of Christ is great and white or maybe they're two different physical seats I don't know but I know they're very different experiences if you say yes to him your judgment seat of Christ experience again Look up the original language judgment seat of Christ is the Greek word B E M A We say bema I like to say bema sounds it's Greek What's bema? What's bema?
It's the rewards seat so Paul loved to use sports analogies to his Greek folks And they had you know that city of Olympia where they played sports games, which are called the Olympics What we didn't know is back then there wasn't like a podium of gold silver bronze There's just one winner whoever finished the race and ran a good race went to the Bema seat After you finish your race you go to the reward seat and you stand before everybody and a crown gets placed on your head The crown back then was leaves from like a very important tree to their culture. I don't know for us like tree life I don't know, but it's it's a powerful picture When you study this that we're bringing every work we've ever done not sin you're held accountable to your works Not your sin after you say yes to him your sins are removed. That's his decision You're held accountable to your works at this judgment seat and there are two kind of works good ones bad ones But these are all good things you've done you help the old lady across the street You write a big fat check to a charity you play guitar in the band. Why'd you do it?
Why'd you do it? The intention behind the action determines if it's good or bad Good is done in love Bad works also called works of the flesh also called filthy rags are put on the same altar before the Bema seat Good and bad you read about this and it says fire comes down. This will be a display of power fire comes down And it consumes anything not done in love Everything else you get rewarded on now. I don't think that the reward is square footage in a mansion I'm pretty sure there's not a class system in heaven to where I have 7,000 square feet and you have 1,000 square feet But I do think that the reward looks a lot like these crowns.
It's righteous is joy peace everlasting I think it looks a lot like life. I think it looks a lot like Jesus is the reward and Maybe he rewards us in gold and silver and things like that But I'm just thinking on that day Maybe we give it back to him and say this is yours everything that I have is yours and the gold that he gives us Maybe maybe that's why the streets are of gold. I don't know Maybe we're gonna walk on the very things that represent our love and affection for him But what I know for a fact is it's not a day of judgment for our sins. That was Jesus's job It's a day of judgment for our works and it's a day of reward now the great white throne is for unbelievers That's a whole different experience where they if your names in the lambs book of life You're set if it's not you're not But what I love about even the language that I see written in both Testaments is this phrase called names being blotted out of the lambs book of life?
That means like a race that means they were in there to begin with you tracking that He's such a god of faith. He says he reconciled the world to himself He wrote your name in the book before you were born and it's up to you a gift offered is not the same as a gift received But he offers the gift of the whole world. He's a god of faith. He believes you'll say yes And he puts your name can you imagine the process of writing each person by name?
This is him. This is him. Why don't you guys stand? Why don't you guys close your eyes and actually engage with your imagination?
I think that this gospel of grace which is the gospel of Jesus Sometimes leads people to believe that well if Jesus removed my sin past present and future Well, then I just keep on sitting I want you to track this with me Use your imagination that a king Actually issues and eat it and comes up to a prostitute or a harlot like you saw up on the screen as part of our old nature And pardons her for everything she's ever done That's a lot. I mean, she's probably you know She loved much because she'd been forgiven much so that that probably stirred in her Thanksgiving in love But then he goes a step further. He's like no, but like any sin you'll ever commit is part as well She's like are you kidding me? But even putting ourselves in her shoes like that's amazing.
But like what would prevent her? From continuing to sin Well, that that's what's unique about King Jesus see because he didn't just pardon past present future sin He then gets on his knee and proposes to her and she becomes a queen You can't even imagine a queen engaging in what was she was engaging in it doesn't make sense anymore It doesn't go through the filter of can I get away with this it goes to the filter of who am I now? Am I still in need the way that I was or have I been given now everything that I need? The why changes why not sin?
Well, because you're not supposed to know the why changes because no, I love him and actually I don't need to anymore I don't need the same medication of pain that I once had and so just in response to that Jesus we just thank you We thank you and we see your proposal and we just our answer is a resounding. Yes, you can have me You can have me. Thank you God for literally doing all of the work and presenting it to us and all that we have to do is say yes and believe and turn and change how we're thinking holy spirit of God would you Empower this room. I just speak grace all over this room Which is empowerment to change empowerment to think different holy spirit release empowerment and grace in a greater portion So that we begin thinking like sons and daughters thinking like holy instead of part ones brand new identity brand new natures God, we thank you for what you've done and we say yes to you fresh again
