Oldest sister chat: Laura and Claudia

Claudia interviews her older sister Laura who played a big part in their childhood as the oldest daughter and her responsibility to assist our parents in looking after her younger siblings while they worked. Born in Belgium and immigrating to Australia with our parents at the age of 5 they discuss their family life together, their parent's dreams for them all, growing up in a family of four girls and the expectations placed on them.  Now as mothers themselves and still a close family unit they discuss how they have imparted their cultural values to their own children. This podcast interview was taped on Claudia’s birthday and discussing family life and their individual cultural experiences were special for both sisters.Brought to you by Shining Light
