Ole Miss Stuns Ranked Louisville | Louisville Football News

Ole Miss stunned Louisville with a 41-38 thriller to open their 2026 season, securing their first ranked win of the year in a game that showcased both brilliance and struggle across offense, defense, and special teams. The Rebels’ defense led early, but it was their second-half offensive surge that sealed the victory — a sign of growing cohesion under new coaching emphasis on synchronized play. While the physical toll showed in soreness and minor injuries, including a clean medical check for star Keaton Thomas, no long-term damage was found. With a quick turnaround ahead for their home opener against Charlotte, the focus shifts to player recovery and unit alignment — setting the stage for a promising season built on grit, resilience, and momentum.
