Ole Miss Survives Thriller Against Louisville | Ole Miss Rebels Football News

Ole Miss pulled off a heart-pounding 41-38 win over Louisville in their 2026 opener, thanks to a 48-yard field goal and a stellar performance from quarterback Trinidad Chambliss, who threw for 336 yards and 3 TDs while adding a rushing score. Despite his big numbers, Chambliss admitted he hates close games and frustrated over two first-half turnovers, but rallied in the second half with two huge 62-yard TDs to Deuce Alexander. Louisville tied it with under two minutes left, but Chambliss led the drive for the game-winning kick. The Rebels now aim to avoid another one-score thriller when they host Charlotte next Saturday.
