Ole Miss vs Louisville Season Opener | Louisville Football News

College football’s biggest early-season showdown kicks off in Nashville as Louisville and Ole Miss collide in the Music City Bowl opener. Both teams are hungry for a statement win: Louisville, fresh off a bowl victory and projected third in the ACC, leans on breakout RB Issac Brown and new QB Lincoln Kienholz. Ole Miss, led by returning star QB Trinidad Chambliss and explosive RB Kewan Lacy, brings back most of its offense under new head coach Pete Golding — and faces a brutal schedule starting here. Ole Miss’ defense, bolstered by key transfers like Keaton Thomas, aims to improve on last year’s numbers. The line? Ole Miss favored by 6.5 points, with over/under at 55.5. Betting trends hint Ole Miss will likely exceed its total while Louisville plays under — making this a high-stakes test for both programs that could set the tone for their entire seasons.
