Ole Miss vs Louisville Season Opener | Louisville Football News

Ole Miss football kicks off the season ranked ninth, facing off against 24th-ranked Louisville in a high-stakes opener. After an electrifying 11-win campaign and College Football Playoff semifinal run last year, expectations are sky-high for the Rebels under first-year head coach Pete Golding — who helped lead them to glory as defensive coordinator. Louisville, led by fourth-year coach Jeff Brohm and new QB Lincoln Kienholz (a transfer from Ohio State), brings a potent running game and a bowl-winning pedigree. With both teams fresh off their first games of the year and no injuries on Ole Miss’ roster, this matchup could hinge on who dominates the trenches — and Louisville might just be the surprise contender in the conference.
