In which we are gently introduced to a fragile and suffering child whose gentle repose and peaceful smile belie the harsh judgments and suspicions of those who surround him. Tender compassion intertwines with anxious resolve as the kindly visitors seek to understand his past and fate, whilst the earnest doctor prepares to confront those who hold sway over the boy’s immediate destiny.
