On April 14th, Olivia Miles just made history for TCU women's basketball, getting picked second overall by the Minnesota Lynx in the 2026 WNBA draft on Monday night. She's the highest draft pick ever for the Horned Frogs program, an All-American guard who led her team to a Big 12 title and back-to-back elite. Eight runs, Miles earned Big 12 Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year honors, putting up 19.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 6.6 assists per game last season. She played every single one of their 38 games, helping secure a 32-6 record.
That's their second straight conference championship. Coming over from Notre Dame for her final college year, Miles brought serious fire, shooting 48.1% from the floor, on 35.1 from three, while snagging 1.8 steals a game. Over her six-year career, she suited up in 139 games and snagged All-American nods three times. She's the second first-round pick for TCU in as many years, following Haley Van Liff, which shows the programs on a role-building talent.
Fans and scouts are buzzing about her all-around game-fitting right into the Lynx lineup. With Miles heading pro, TCU's legacy keeps growing, and the WNBA just got a whole lot deeper. Keep an eye on her rookie year.
