On April 14th, Olivia Miles just etched her name in TCU women's basketball stone by going number two overall to the Minnesota Links in the 20th. 26 WNBA Draft. The New Jersey Gar became the highest pick in program history and the first top five were since Sandor Urban two decades back. Her teammate, Ford Martis Juarez, got snapped up 16th overall by the Seattle Storm to cap a huge night for the Horned Frogs.
These two lit TCU to back-to-back Elite Eights, something the program had never sniffed before, plus two straight big 12 regular season crowns and 30 plus wins both years. They're the fourth and fifth WNBA Drafties from TCU following Haley Van Lith and Madison Conner last year. Miles dominated her one season there, smashing records for points at 744 and assists at 252 while dropping six, triple doubles four and a five-game span alone. Juarez lit it up too, with career highs and scoring at 17.1 a game, plus a 33-point explosion in the Sweet 16.
Both transferred in and swept big 12 honors. Miles doubled up on Pro Deals by signing with the Unrivaled Three versus Three-Leaf for its early 2027 season. Meanwhile, the WNBA's fresh EBA through 2032, bumps minimum pay to 270,000 bucks, salary cap skyward, and Supermax. Deals up to 2.4 million by then.
