Olivia Riley & Norman Burnett talk about The UpTown Theatre

Olivia Riley and Norman Burnet, an original member of the Tymes, speak with host Linwood Jackson on the Urban Compass, about The Uptown Theatre in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, that opened in 1929, and became the premier music venue for black artists from the 1950s to the '70s before closing its doors in 1992. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
