Grip, aero, speed, fuel, downforce, weight…All elements that have to be accounted for when it comes to racing in Formula 1 . For today’s guest Olly Self, they’re all pieces of a puzzle he tries every day to solve as a Senior Design Engineer at Williams Racing.Though he’s recently worked with the engine systems group, Olly also designed the current Williams jack, and he’s previously worked with hydraulics and teams. Olly is living proof that having a technical mind and little bit of madness makes for a talented engineer.
