Along the Muscat and Quriyat stretch today we had light to moderate afternoon sea breeze, around 10–15 knots from the north to northwest, with seas slight to moderate and good water clarity close to shore. Offshore winds eased toward evening, leaving a gentle chop that is perfect for working artificials over reef edges and drop‑offs. Sun came up just after 5:15 a.m. local and slipped out a little after 7:00 p.m., giving a long low‑light window at both ends of the day. The morning incoming tide lined up nicely with sunrise, and an afternoon falling tide pushed bait out of the bays and khwars, sparking short but intense feeds around the points and rocky ledges. Reports from local skippers out of Muscat and Quriyat over the last couple of days have been solid for **yellowfin tuna**, **longtail tuna**, **dorado**, and **sailfish** offshore, with boats commonly seeing half a dozen to a dozen quality fish when they find the temperature breaks and bird life. Closer in, the reef and inshore crews have been doing well on **hamour**, **sherri**, **spangled emperor**, **queenfish**, and **golden trevally**, with a few bruiser **GTs** crashing bait on the outer rocks and island faces. For lures, keep it simple and local: - For tuna and dorado offshore, run **feather skirts, small jet heads, and diving minnows** in blue‑white, green‑yellow, and pink‑white at 6–8 knots.
