OMF- Zach Kinton, 34, acute lymphoblastic leukemia

from WEEI/NESN Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon

Zach noticed enlarged neck lymph nodes one day as he was about to drive home from work. He visited his primary care doctor for evaluation and testing, and she referred him to Dana-Farber for a consultation.  Before he could attend the consultation, his situation got worse and he was admitted to the hospital to start treatment under the care of Dr. Stone. Zach has been in treatment since February 2020. He has been on various chemotherapy and radiation treatment for approximately 2 ½ years. On selecting his care, Zach chose Dana-Farber because it is a "highly rated institution with worldwide recognition" that is within 10 minutes of his home. He also appreciates the groundbreaking research and professional, caring staff available.  Zach is supported by his parents, Debra and Clark, sisters, Meaghan and Claire, and girlfriend Kelly. In his spare time, Zach enjoys gardening and reading. He hopes to eventually return to school for a master’s degree.
