Omicron Variant and the World's Response

You might have already heard there is a new covid 19 variant on the horizon. Omicron has made an appearance among those considered fully vaccinated. Now what? Austalia has already begun putting people in camps because they may be infected. Germany has begun a lockdown of the unvaccinated. Yes, the unvaccinated are mandated to stay home. And then there is the United States. Currently, President Biden's mandate is stalled in the courts. Good for us? Also, the fallout of these Mandates. New York State and the nation have a shortage of medical staff. Governor Kathy Hochul of New York has enacted the National Guard the fill-in for, not necessarily for medical staff but for Nursing home staffing shortages. Certified Nursing Assistants people who aid the elderly daily are in the shortest supply. A short-term solution for a long-term problem. These are my thoughts; what are yours.
