On Education: How Trial & Error Builds Confidence & Competence in Self-Directed Learning in All Ages

from Support, Protect, Empower - The Project Purpose Podcast · host Rachelle Innocent

#Education #SelfDirection #Learning  Hi Everyone!   Welcome to our second segment on Education, this week 😊   In today's discussion, we are going to address how providing a "trial-and-error" style learning environment, instills confidence and competence in your little learners.   By leveraging trial and error, treating all information as neutral and natural points that we unearth on the learning curve, we are establishing confidence, as well as competence, in our aptitude and ability to learn.   Learning involves thinking critical, intentional repositioning and changing direction, making modifications to our thinking, beliefs and values based on the new information presented. Allowing new information to interact and influence existing information accordingly.   The basis of critical thinking is being comfortable with ambiguity and skillfully making changes to our direction and system of beliefs when confronted with new information -- a skill relevant to all evolving societies.   #Education #SelfDiscovery #SelfDirection #Learning #Children #Parenting #Child Development   Do you have any questions?
