On Images and Other Gods

The entire Vine Church has been studying the "Ten Words" (aka Ten Commandments) for the last three weeks, and the past two weeks have been diving into the first two words, drawn from Exodus 20:3-4. While it may be easy to dismiss these words as mostly irrelevant to modern Christians, they may be the most relevant and most easily broken. We are consistently tempted to place other priorities (i.e. gods) before Yahweh; we often construct an image of God to fit our purposes, putting God in a box that cannot contain Yahweh.
